Mrs. Nona Marie “Sally” Johnson, age 81 of Dyer, Tennessee, peacefully passed away from this life on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at home surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be conducted on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 5:30 pm in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. John Coleman and Bro. Kelvin Mercer officiating. Interment will follow in New Bethlehem Cemetery. Sally was born July 13, 1939 in Gary, IN; the daughter of the late Marion Stanley & Mary Dhu Cunningham. She was a homemaker and member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church. Sally is survived by her husband, Benjamin Johnson; siblings, John Cunningham of Tacoma, WA, Deidre Carter of Myrtle Beach, SC; and grandson, Landon Reed. She was preceded in death by daughter, Tammy Reed; and siblings, Gary Cunningham, Bryan Cunningham, and Marla Williams. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Karnes & Son Funeral Home Dyer Chapel.
