<p>Lawrence Evans Sr. was born in Plant City, FL,&nbsp;on November 28, 1922, to Alphonso and Oviolet Evans.</p> <p>He left home at a young age, serving as a soldier in the Army during World War II.&nbsp; From there,&nbsp;he met Daisy Mae Evans (deceased) and lived with her and their 3 children for 25 years, in Chicago, IL.</p> <p>Mr. Evans retired from the local phone company in Illinois and then decided to turn his hobby into a business.&nbsp; For 20 years he owned a TV repair and record shop, before deciding to retire in Florida.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his mother, Oviolet Evans; Sisters, Gladys George, Mary Smith, Merlyn Evans Vickers and Evelyn Lampkin; Brothers, Lemiah Evans, James Clayton, Joseph Clayton, and Robert Clayton.</p> <p>Mr. Evans leaves to mourn him, his loving children: (1) Lorraine Ellison (Norristown, PA),&nbsp; (2) Denise Hampton (Plant City, FL), and (3) Lawrence Evans, Jr. (Plant City, FL); Sibling, Deloris Washington; Grandchildren, Nicole Walker, Shawne Hampton &amp; Robert Woodson III; and a host of special great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.</p>

Lawrence Evans Sr. was born in Plant City, FL, on November 28, 1922, to Alphonso and Oviolet Evans.

He left home at a young age, serving as a soldier in the Army during World War II.  From there, he met Daisy Mae Evans (deceased) and lived with her and their 3 children for 25 years, in Chicago, IL.

Mr. Evans retired from the local phone company in Illinois and then decided to turn his hobby into a business.  For 20 years he owned a TV repair and record shop, before deciding to retire in Florida.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Oviolet Evans; Sisters, Gladys George, Mary Smith, Merlyn Evans Vickers and Evelyn Lampkin; Brothers, Lemiah Evans, James Clayton, Joseph Clayton, and Robert Clayton.
