<p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Imogene Ansley McConnell, age 89 of Mt. Airy, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Born in Mt. Airy, Georgia on January 15, 1931, she was a daughter of the late John Henry &amp; Pauline Swafford Ansley. Imogene was a devoted wife, dedicated mother, &amp; grandmother. She was a hard worker who had a tremendous servant&rsquo;s heart. Imogene opened her home, sharing her talented cooking abilities with family, friends, &amp; folks in the community for many years. She was of the Baptist faith.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>In addition to her parents, Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. McConnell, Jr.; brothers, Everett Ansley &amp; Stanley Ansley; sisters, Juanita Tanksley &amp; Rebecca McConnell.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Survivors include her children, Curtis &amp; Debbie McConnell; Janet McConnell; Carol &amp; Ben Davis; Kenneth &amp; Gina McConnell; Pam &amp; Irwin Fordham; grandchildren, Natasha Allen; Stephanie McCoy; John Paul McConnell; Brittney Buchanan; Timothy McConnell; Morgan McConnell; Alicia Brasher; Zack Wade; Gera Durand; Katelyn Stoddard; Kyle Fordham; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Martha Ann Allen; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, &amp; a host of friends.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>In consideration of public health &amp; safety, a private family graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>The service will be live-streamed from the Hillside Memorial Chapel Facebook page at 3:00 p.m.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>A public memorial will be held at a later date.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>An online guest registry is available at www.HillsideMemorialChapel.com</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Arrangements by Hillside Memorial Chapel, Clarkesville, Georgia.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>(706) 754-6256</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Imogene Ansley McConnell, age 89 of Mt. Airy, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Born in Mt. Airy, Georgia on January 15, 1931, she was a daughter of the late John Henry & Pauline Swafford Ansley. Imogene was a devoted wife, dedicated mother, & grandmother. She was a hard worker who had a tremendous servant’s heart. Imogene opened her home, sharing her talented cooking abilities with family, friends, & folks in the community for many years. She was of the Baptist faith.
