<p><strong><span style="font-family:comic sans ms,arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;">It is with a heavy heart we announce the death of Melvin Dicks of Drumheller AB, July 30, 2020 at the age of 61. Born in Gander Newfoundland Canada to proud parents; father Leslie Clayton Dicks and mother Doreen Marion Dicks. (Marnes.) He spent most of his youth in Iroquois Ontario. He spent some time on ships and barges before ultimately ending up in Drumheller Alberta. He mastered the craft of boarding and drywalling eventually starting his own business and serviced the town of Drumheller for 25 years. In his younger years Mel loved to scuba dive and adventure below the waves. And in his later years he spent his time with friends, biked and enjoyed time with his sons, as well as guide their various building projects. He enjoyed family dinners, where he played with his grandchildren, and watched the hockey game.</span></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:comic sans ms,arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;">He is survived by his 2 sons, Justin and Mark Chambers. Grandchildren Mila, Asher, and Renly Chambers, Lena-eve Draper-Meller and Spencer Chambers- Meller. His three sisters Marion, Shirley and Joyce, and five brothers Charles, Glenn, Clayton, Doug, and Wallace, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.</span></span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:comic sans ms,arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;">There will not be a funeral held at this time due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic however we ask instead to say a prayer and live with compassion. Always in our thoughts and prayers, from a place of love, we will miss you.</span></span></strong></p>
