Rodney Angus McInnis

McInnis, Rodney Angus- It is with great sadness the family announces the unexpected death of Rodney Angus McInnis, age 57, of Sheet Harbour, on August 8, 2020. Born in Sheet Harbour, “Rod” was the fifth child of 10 born to the late Angus & Caroline (McGrath) McInnis. Rod spent most of his childhood attending the School for the Blind in Halifax. After completing school he went on to Dartmouth Vocational where he took his electrical trade for two years and then completed an electronics trade for the following 2 years. Rod had his own electrical business in Moncton, N.B. for a few years but mostly worked away at locations across Canada and internationally. He was a proud member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). Rod was a great storyteller and loved to watch movies. He enjoyed talking politics and was always up for a good debate. He is survived by his brothers; Finley, West Jeddore, Nathan (Lisa), Sheet Harbour, Russell (Paulette), Eastern Passage, Michael (Kelly), Beaverbank, sisters; Mary, Moncton, Margaret, Dartmouth, Marlene, Christine and June all of Sheet Harbour, 10 nieces and 2 nephews. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Saturday August 22 in DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home, 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour from 12p.m. until the time of the graveside committal at 2p.m. in St. James United Church Cemetery, Sheet Harbour.
