<p>Rafaela Alfaro Holguin was born to Jose and Lucita Alfaro on November 1, 1931 in San Ignacio Mexico and passed on August 9, 2020.&nbsp; Rafaela&rsquo;s mom passed when she was five years old and was raised by her father Jose Alfaro.&nbsp; At the age of seventeen, Rafaela married Alberto Holguin.&nbsp; They were married for approximately 57 years until his passing on July 30, 2005.</p> <p>Rafaela and Alberto lived in Mexico for a short time.&nbsp; After she became a citizen of the United States they moved to Texas, then to Los Angeles and finally settled in Madera were they were residents for over 65 years.&nbsp; Rafaela raised a family of five boys and one girl while working alongside her husband performing various types of hard farm labor jobs.&nbsp; Later in her life, when she could no longer work in the fields, she got a job working for an almond processing plant which she enjoyed very much.</p> <p>Rafaela had six children Ramon Holguin, Cruz Holguin, Alberto Holguin Jr., Narciso Holguin, Louie Holguin and Felipe Holguin, She is survived by her sons Alberto Holguin Jr. and Narciso Holguin, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren which she loved very much.</p> <p>Thank you mom for all that you had to go through to raise us, protect us when we needed you most, giving us the opportunity for a better life and for always being there for us. We will always love and miss you Mama.</p>

Rafaela Alfaro Holguin was born to Jose and Lucita Alfaro on November 1, 1931 in San Ignacio Mexico and passed on August 9, 2020.  Rafaela’s mom passed when she was five years old and was raised by her father Jose Alfaro.  At the age of seventeen, Rafaela married Alberto Holguin.  They were married for approximately 57 years until his passing on July 30, 2005.
