SMITH, Dane R., age 84 of Beavercreek, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton.  He was born August 22, 1935 in Darke County, Ohio son of the late Herman & Carmen Smith.  Dane was a retired Tool & Die maker with General Motors and a member of the West Milton Lodge #577 F&AM.  Dane was preceded in death by two very important people in his life, Jessie Darlene Smith and Mary Smith, as well as his beloved dog, Tyson.  Dane is survived by 4 children, Dana (Joseph), Denise (Stephanie), Dane and Darcy; 1 sister, Lois (Eldean); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Dane spent the last eleven years enjoying life with Courtney, Bradley and Taryn.
