(Joan Ramsey) Joan Duncan Ramsey, 85, met her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 after a brief illness. Born and raised in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Magaliene and Sloan Duncan. She was a member of Orrville Pentecostal Holliness Church for over 60 years where she enjoyed singing in the choir and attending her ladies meetings. Joan will be fondly remembered for her love of family, her love of laughter and music. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Ramsey Gillard, daughter- in- law Lynn Shiflet Ramsey, two sisters Jan Robinson and Loretta Pugh, and her grandchildren, Artie Ethridge (Mandy), Evan Ethridge (Candy) and Mykael Bibb (Mike). Joan also leaves numerous great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and life long friends Olive and Bud Nation. In addition to her parents, she joins her husband, R. E. and two sons, Mike and Van in heaven. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 10am at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at 2021 Sheldon Drive after the funeral.
