Patricia "Pat" Gaspard

     EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Patricia L. Gaspard announces her passing on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Camelot Place in Crowley at the age of 77.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Hampton Davis, Celebrant.

       Patricia was born on March 02, 1943 in Eunice to the late Walter and Onelia Matt Long. She was a  member of the St. Anthony Alter Society and worked many years with the St. Anthony Youth Group and  supported the Eunice High Band Booster Club.  She had a love for kids, she work at a day care and also cared for kids in her home.  Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband of sixty one years, James Gaspard of Eunice; her five children, James Gaspard, Jr. and wife, Cindy, Patrick Gaspard, Frank Gaspard and Marie Henry and husband, Billy all living in Eunice and Robert Gaspard and wife, Kristina of Opelousas; a sister, Ellen Long of Eunice; sixteen grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

     She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Helen Long.

     At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, August 11th from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, August 12th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 7:30 pm on Tuesday.

    Pallbearers are James Gaspard, Jr, Patrick Gaspard, Frank Gaspard, Phillip Gaspard, B.J. Henry and Dustin Johnson.
