Margaret Emily Dalton Obituary

DALTON, Margaret E. Scotch Hill It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, Margaret ‘Muggie’ Dalton. Born on May 10, 1951 in Pictou, she was the eldest daughter of the late Nita Sarson. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Arthur Lee Dalton; sons, Arthur (Alison), Robert (Sheena); grandchildren, Madison, Addison, Gracie, Jaxxon, Tyler, and Harlow; brothers, Leroy, John, Blake, Mike, and Mitch (Joanne); sisters, Sheila (John), Shelley (Jackie), Charlene; many nieces, nephews and special cousins, Cindy & Paul. Besides her mother she was predeceased by her grandmother, Eliza Sarson; and grandson, Robbie Dalton. In her younger years she enjoyed centerettes, softball and tug-of-war, where she made memories and friendships that would last a lifetime. After retiring from 30 years of service with Sobeys management, she volunteered her time helping others, and rejoined the workforce as a caregiver, where she was described as “an angel among us”. In her downtime she mastered the craft of quilting. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and she could often be found watching any sport they were involved with, and was lovingly referred to as the team’s Gramma. She loved to take trips big and small, she had been to Barbados, multiple trips to Florida, but her favourite trips were her planned and unplanned road trips, sitting right beside her best friend and love of her life, Art. She was a long time member and Past Noble Grand of Princess Rebekah Lodge, No. 4, Pictou. She will forever be loved, missed and remembered for her kindness, generosity and love towards family, friends and the many lives she’s touched. As an organ donor, she will continue to touch many lives. Due to COVID-19 restrictions a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice. wwwmclarenfuneral.ca
