Preston “Butch” Lee Seely 77, of Nowata, Oklahoma passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 at home with his family at his side.

Butch was born October 13, 1942 in Winganon, Oklahoma to William Preston and Lena Belle (Drewry) Seely. After graduating High School, he proudly went to serve his country in the U.S. Army. He married the love of his life Kimberly Green on Oct 13, 1998 in Nowata, Oklahoma. He was employed for over 26 years, as a shipping and receiving clerk for Nowata Printing Company in Nowata, Oklahoma until the company relocated.  Butch was very active and made sure all maintenance around the house was caught up rather it was, maintaining the yard, taking out trash or lending the wife a hand. He was known as a hand man and could fix just about anything. In his spare time enjoyed doing carpentry work and spending time with his family that he loved unconditionally.

Butch was preceded in death by his father and mother; William Seely, Lena Seely and one son Troy Seely. 

 Survivors include his wife; Kimberly Seely of the home, three children; Taylena Seely, William Seely both of the home Chereasa Seely and Husband Michael Hall of Collinsville, and three siblings Michael Seely, Roberta Amyer and husband Mark, Terri Seely, eight grandchildren; Cecalie Seely, Alyssa Seely, Piper Seely, Kyle Seely, Derrick Seely, Dakota Seely, Raven Williams, Monica Williams, and multiple great grandchildren and with many other relatives and lifelong friends. 

Graveside service for Preston “Butch” Seely will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Chelsea Cemetery in Chelsea, Oklahoma with Pastor Wendell Abbott officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Benjamin Funeral Chapel in Nowata, Oklahoma. The Grove Veteran's Ritual Team will provide military honors.
