ELFEGO DIMAS LUNA PHARR - Elfego Dimas Luna, 88, entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 9, 2020 surrounded by his wife and five children at home. He was a hardworking, generous and kind man. Elfego worked hard through his youth to provide for his siblings and in later years ensured his children were well educated. He was always a devoted and loving husband, an amazing father to his children and a wonderful grandpa. Always taught by example to give, be humble and love unconditionally. His affection and smile will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Dimas was preceded in death by his parents; Erasto and Brijida Luna;a son, Jose Maria Luna; three siblings, Erasto Luna, Eulalio Luna and Alejandra Herrera. Mr. Luna is survived by his wife of 51 years, Flora Irene Luna; five children, Francisco Rafael (Esmeralda) Luna, Irene Luna (Jose) Perez, Manuel (Lori) Luna, Lupita Luna (Alejandro) Morales, Guillermo (Patty) Luna; seven grandchildren, Sergio & Isla Luna, Aliha & Alan Perez, Derek & Dariana Luna, Levi, Luna, & Lucas Morales; two brothers, Jose Luna and Eugenio Luna; four sisters, Maria Cuca Carrillo, Lazara Solis, Yolanda Hernandez, and Ana De La Cruz. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. with a 10 a.m. mass Thursday August 13, 2020 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
