Ross Payne , 80 of Webster Springs passed away Friday, August 7, 2020.  Ross was born January 24, 1940 on Point Mountain and was the son of the late Ira and Rella Clevenger Payne.  Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Regena Hamrick,  Ronnie, Ruby, Mabel and Orel Payne.

Ross liked to hunt, fish and go camping.  He was a wonderful and loving husband,  father and grandfather, he also loved all his nieces, nephews and in- laws.

Ross is survived by his wife Clara Cowger Payne; son, Jerry (Vonda) Payne; granddaughter,  Addison Payne; brothers, Rendall Payne, Raymond Payne; sisters, Reva Payne, Retha Clayton, Ruth Clayton and  Ramona Hines and also many nieces,  nephews and in-laws.

Service will be 2:00 PM , Tuesday,  August 11, 2020 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Sears officiating.  Friends may join the family for visitation two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
