Susan "Susie" Ann Helms

Susan Ann Helms "Susie” August 30th, 1945-August 6th, 2020 Susie Helms, 74, of Terrebonne, Oregon, passed away August 6th at home surrounded by family members. She was born August 30th, 1945 to Edward and Lida Burhoop in Redmond, Oregon. Susie attended Terrebonne Grade School and later attended Redmond High School. Susie’s interests included team softball, volleyball, billiards, fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, antiquing, drawing, painting, and cooking. Friends and family will say they knew her for being a great hostess and an excellent cook. She worked most of her life as a service professional - she was very outgoing, caring, nurturing, and made everyone smile while making friends everywhere she went. Susie married Daniel 54 years ago on September 29th, 1966. Together they raised five children, but was known as “Mama Sue” by all. Susie is preceded in death by her parents, both siblings, and daughter, Master Chief (R) Kimi Bohnenkamp USCG. Susie is survived by her husband, Daniel J. Helms; children, Angela Jernigan, Raeleen Stewart, Danitta Spensley, and Davin Helms; seventeen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
