Eric Scott Garrison

Eric Scott Garrison, 54, of Hometown, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020. Born October 14, 1965, he was the son of the late Wayne Wesley Garrison and Oeda Childers Garrison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Garrison. Survivors include his daughter, Erica Thurmond (Zachary Collins) of Dunbar; granddaughter, Kaytee Thurmond; brother, Wesley (Janet) Garrison of Hometown; sister, Rosemary Garrison of Buffalo; sister-in-law, Penelope Garrison of Buffalo; nieces, Nicole Green, Ivy (Jon) Garrison-Hague, Holly Garrison, Violet (Matt) Cohenour-Thornton, Ashley Garrison (Josh Bowen), and Adam Garrison. In accordance with his wishes, his body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Freedom's Promise Ministries, Frazier's Bottom. Burial will follow in Walker Chapel Church Cemetery, Robertsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Walker Chapel Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 1365, Eleanor, WV 25070.
