Mathis – Max Lara passed away on August 7, 2020. He was 20.

Max was born on July 7, 2000 in Mission, Texas to Jose and Rosa Maria (DeLeon) Lara, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Mathis, Texas. Max worked in the oil field. Max was a loving, son, brother and friend who will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Max is survived by his significant other: Audrey Arizzon of Mathis, Texas; parents: Jose and Rosa Maria Lara of Mathis, Texas; brothers: Joe Lara, Jr. (April Walker) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Danny Lara (Jennifer) of Mathis, Texas; sisters: Elizabeth Lara of Mathis, Texas and Jessica Lara of (Erasmo Zapata) of Sinton, Texas.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, August 11, 2020, 4:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM the same evening at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 12, 2020, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Mathis. Burial will follow in Descanso Cemetery in Mathis.
