<p>Raymond &quot;Ray&quot; Vincent Healey, 90 recently of Edna, formerly of Rockport, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.&nbsp; Ray was born on Saturday, February 15, 1930 in Detroit Michigan to William and Jessie Holland Wright Healey. Ray graduated from Cooley High School and later moved to Rose City Michigan where his parents bought and operated a local IGA Grocery Store Downtown Rose City. That is where he met and fell in love with the love of his life; Joan Dobie. They were married on January 26, 1951 in Rose City. Ray served his country by enlisting in the U.S. Army during the Korean War in January of 1952, He returned home in August of 1953, and later they moved to Bay City Michigan where they raised their four children; Bob, Bill, Deb and Rick. In June of 1970, the family packed up and moved to Richwood, Texas, where Ray began his career with Dowell/Schulmberger. He retired from Dowell in 1991 and they began a new life in Pasadena, TX&nbsp; working for Axle and Wheel Aligning Company. After he finally fully retired, he and Joan began their traveling around the United States in their Motor Home. They traveled back and forth from Texas to Michigan, spending the cooler summers in Michigan and the warmer winters in Texas.&nbsp;</p> <p>Raymond is survived by his children; Bob and Mary Healey of Bandera, Texas, Bill and Sue Healey of Lupton, Michigan, Debbie and Russell Todish of Edna, Texas and Rick and Karen Healey of Rockport, Texas, his nine grandchildren; Kim and Byron Ratliff, Shawn and Raquel Healey, Jeff and Sarah Healey, John and Terri Healey, Tonya and DuWayne Dunn, Chara and Terry Tipp, Chelsea Healey, Lindsay and Matt Jarrett and Allison Healey, his nineteen great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Marissa, Clayton, Bryan, Keegan, Ayden, Jaxon, Josh, Hayden, McKenzie, Tucker, Dixon, Alisa, Amelia, Ethan, Matthew, Callie, Chase and Eva. Also nieces and nephews; Darra, Cindy, Mike, Judy, Johnny, Scott, Sandy, Angie, Dale, Todd and Michelle. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, William &quot;Bill&quot; and Jessie Wright Healey, his wife; Joan Dobie Healey, brother; Derek Healey, sister-in-law; Georgia Healey, nephew; Mike Healey, Brother-in-law; Carl &quot;Butch&quot; Dobie, Sister-in-law Gwen and brother-in-law Carroll Reid, sister-in-law Dorothy and brother-in-law John Lutke, brother-in-law Bill and sister-in-law Pauline Dobie.</p> <p>There will be a Memorial Service on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 11:00 am at Ganado Funeral Home. Both Ray(died 8/5/2020) and Joan (died 3/5/2020) will have their ashes taken to their home in Rose City, Michigan where they began their lives together to be buried together.&nbsp; Service have been entrusted to his son-in-law; Russell Todish of Ganado and Slavik Funeral Homes, 209 N. Allen Street, Edna, TX 77957, 361-782-2152.</p> <p>There will be a &quot;Family Reunion&quot; in Michigan on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00 am to bury both Ray and Joan at the Rose City Cemetery.</p>
