Jimmy Dale Herbison Obituary

Jimmy Dale Herbison, 71, of Benoit, MS passed away at home on August 7, 2020. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Shaw Cemetery in Shaw, MS. Jimmy was born on April 24, 1949 in Shaw, MS to Elbert Wade Herbison and Mary Rose Herbison. Jimmy served in the US Army for two years, 13 months in Vietnam. He worked offshore as a sand blaster and went to Egypt for one year working in the oilfield. He also worked at Parchman, Duofast, and J&S Farms. In his spare time, he loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed shopping and was a great cook. He is survived by two brothers, James Allen(Alice) Herbison of Benoit, MS. and Joey(Bert) Herbison of Boyle, MS; a host of nieces and nephews; a special friend, Sandra Moorhead; caretaker, O.B. Lafayette, and last but not least, his 4 legged companion and best friend, Lil Bit. Pallbearers for this service will be Steve Herbison, Billy Herbison, Adam Herbison, Bo Bowlin, Weber Herbison, and Cody Bowlin. Honorary pallbearers are Willie Sellers, Carl Melton, Vernon Herbison, and O.B. Lafayette.
