Mr. Clyde Lee Payton, 67, of Sanders Lane Hartwell, GA passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 at his home. Mr. Payton was born August 18, 1952 in Greenwood, SC to Grady Robert Payton and Violet Moon Payton. He was a retired stonecutter. He is survived by daughters and son-in-law: Lynn Howell of Elberton, GA, Christie and Jeffrey Yeargin of Hartwell, GA; sister: Wanda Bell of Carlton, GA, brother Wayne Payton of Greenwood, SC; and grandchildren: Hunter Howell, Will Howell, Payton Howell, Alexis Yeargin and Addyson Yeargin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers: David Payton and Roger Dale Payton. Memorial services to celebrate Clyde's life will be 11AM, Saturday, August 15 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Childress officiating. The family will receive friends from 10AM -11AM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested to please make memorials in Clyde's memory to Amedisys Hospice and Home Health Care, 53 Rock Drive Toccoa, GA 30577.
