PORTSMOUTH - Gary Alan Chadwick, 65, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, August 6, 2020. He was born on May 4, 1955 in Portsmouth, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace W. Chadwick Sr.; and his brother, Wally Chadwick. Gary was a member of Thrive Church and retired from Newport News Shipbuilding. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 22 years, Sharon Grey Chadwick; son, David Chadwick (Brandy Arab); daughter, Carrie Keys (Matt Whaley); step daughters, Megan and Jadyn; mother, Phoebe Marie Edmondson Chadwick; sisters, Phyllis Beaber, Margie Verostek and Denise Cox; grandchildren, Austen, Dakota, Cheyenne and Cora; numerous nieces and nephews, and many other family members and friends.
