Alvin Henry Beavers Obituary

Alvin Henry Beavers was born on May 16, 1939 to Ollie Lee and Minnie Melvinie (Vaughn) Beavers in Hart, Texas. He grew up in Lamb County, Texas and attended Hart High School and then attended trade school. He was united in marriage to LaNell McClenney on November 3, 1963 in Dimmitt, Texas. They made their first home in Hart, Texas before moving to Woodward, Oklahoma.

Alvin inducted into the United States Navy on February 16, 1958 and served until May 6, 1960 when he was honorably discharged. Alvin served on the Midway. Alvin worked as a mechanic at Terra Chemical for many years. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, and going fishing in Missouri. His boys and granddaughters brought him the most joy in life.

Alvin passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020 in Woodward at the age of 81.

He is survived by his wife, LaNell Beavers; sons, Henry Beavers and wife Marla, Larry Beavers and wife Lisa; sister, Peggy Mitchell of Emory, Texas; grandchildren, Mirissa and Clint, Kayla and Ryan, Holly and Chris, Rylee and Ryan; great grandchildren, Reegan, Sadie, Hudson, Harper; brothers in law, Billy McClenney and wife Reta, Rusty McClenney and wife Trish, M.C. McClenney; sister in law,Waunetta Campbell and husband Don.

Alvin is preceded in death by his parents, brother Wayne Beavers and wife Joyace, three nephews: Randy, Terry, and Manuel, niece, LaQuita, and brother in law, Wayne McClenney.
