John O. McEachern

Mr. John O. McEachern, 89, passed away peacefully Friday (August 7, 2020) at the Baptist Village Retirement Communities in Waycross, Georgia Mr. McEachern was born in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Duncan E. McEachern and Gussie Newson McEachern. He was a retired general contractor and member of First Baptist Church in Waycross. He served in the Georgia National Guard and was a life member of the optimist club. He was predeceased by his wife, Jacqueline Fuller McEachern; his son, John Fuller McEachern; brother, Duncan E. McEachern; and sister, Gwendolyn McEachern Lynn (Julius). Mr. McEachern is survived by his daughter-in-law, Lisa McEachern of Savannah; two granddaughters, Raleigh Elizabeth McEachern and Lauren McEachern House (Patrick) of Savannah; special nephews and niece, John Cotter (Carol) of Palm Bay, Florida, Marsha Christy (John) of Perry, Georgia, and Duncan McEachern (Teresa) of Dublin, Georgia Due to current health concerns, a private graveside service will be held at Dublin Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to First Baptist Church, 702 Elizabeth St. Waycross, Georgia 31501.
