Born in Englehard, North Carolina on August 20, 1939; departed this life on August 5, 2020 at his residence in Wilmington, DE with his wife of almost 60 years, Cora, by his side. He received his early education in North Carolina and graduated from Davis High School. He was employed in several companies before retiring from the Brandywine School System in Delaware. During his tenure, he was recognized for distinguished performance with many awards and accolades. Mr. Bryant owned and operated a custodial business for many years. After retirement, Mr. Bryant enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He found his calling in service for Christ many years ago. He was a faithful and dedicated member of World Ministries Apostolic Church, serving as an ordained Elder. Elder Bryant was an extraordinary Sunday School Teacher. He worked alongside his wife, Mother Cora Bryant as witnesses for Christ. Elder Bryant was known for never meeting a stranger. He was outgoing and enjoyed being around people and lending a “good word” in season and out of season. Elder Bryant was predeceased by parents, John Edward and Ethel (Midgette) Bryant; brother, Edward Bryant and sister, Alice Mae Adams-Montco, father in-law, Clossie Spencer, Sr., mother in-law, Icy Spencer, Elder Bryant is survived by his wife, Cora, children, Shariece Beecham, Dior Bryant and Mustafa Bryant; grandchildren; great grandchildren; sisters, Maxine Williams, Ernestine Blount, Helen Marie Charity; brother, Samuel Bryant; special friends and dear to his heart, Lula Mae Spencer, Clossie Spencer, Jr. (Linda) and Larry Spencer (Edna); sisters in-law, MaryDella Brown (Edward), Mabeline Gibbs (William), Grace Moore (Adam), Carriemae Johnson, Irene Spencer; and a host of friends and extended family.
