Mary Louise (McCullum) Woodman, 86, died on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in Nashua. She was born on October 23, 1933 in Augusta, Maine, the daughter of the late Ottie McCullum and Louise Mason McCullum. She was the wife of the late Wilbur Arno Woodman. They were married on November 30, 1957 in Augusta, Maine Mary attended Cony High School in Augusta, Maine where she received her diploma. She went on to study at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree, she went on to attend Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland where she received a Master’s Degree of Education. She loved watching college and professional sports; she was very competitive and looked forward to bridge club. She enjoyed working outside in all seasons especially in the Fall. Her favorite place to vacation was Mid-coast Maine where she spent time every summer since she was a little girl at one of the two cottages built by her uncle. She would always do a fast-paced walk to keep in shape while at home or on vacation. Her English and grammar were excellent, and she took pride in telling you the correct spelling, punctuation, and enunciation. Crossword puzzles were one of her favorite pastimes and her vocabulary was impeccable. She was the perfect teacher and wonderful mother. She was well read and well versed in current events and was educated in all the social graces. Mary was an animal lover and supported to the Humane Society for years. Mary spent most of her adult years in New Hampshire, but her heart belonged to Maine. Survivors include her children Jane Bingham and Charles Woodman and wife Jayne Woodman. SERVICES: Due to Covid-19 There will not be visitation or a funeral service. Mary will be laid to rest at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road Augusta, Maine with her beloved husband Woody. Interment Prayers and Burial will be private. Those who wish may make a memorial contribution may do so to The Nursing staff at Nashua Crossings, 674 West Hollis Street, Nashua, NH 03062. The DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, One Lock St., Nashua has been placed in charge of arrangements. “ONE MEMORY LIGHTS ANOTHER”
