On Tuesday, July 28, 2020, Addie Morgan Provost passed away in a car accident at the age of 20. Addie was born in 2000 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Springville High School in 2018. She was very active in her high school drama department. She was Drama Guild President, part of the improv team, performed at region and state, co-directed, performed in Tartuffe, Sense and Sensibility, and Cinderella. She attended USU for one year, majoring in theater. While at USU Addie performed in Shock-Headed Peter. Addie was an actress and accomplished mezzo-soprano. She acted in television and had roles in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Places, and The Adventures of Big Foot. She performed in several short films: When Alex Met Jordan, Artificial Intolerance, Three Sheets to the Wind, and Never. She also performed in commercials for Albertsons and Amazon Alexa. The high-light of Addie's career was working with the cast and crew of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. Tim Federle, Creator and Executive Producer, kindly provided the following statement regarding Addie's work: "The cast and crew of 'High School Musical: the Series' are devastated by the loss of Addison Provost known to us by her stage name Addison Morgan. She was a bright funny young actor who was just getting started, and we will forever be grateful that we got to celebrate her considerable talents on and off screen." Addie was loving, kind, intelligent, witty, driven, and thoughtful. She was a forgiving, loyal, accepting, and true friend. She genuinely loved people and getting to know people. She was a passionate activist and artist. She was always work-shopping new ideas, writing stories, creating new characters, and writing stand up bits. She started her own production company with a friend and eventually wanted to create content that is human, funny, warm, personal, truthful, and full of light. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, singing, reading, watching movies, and reading her dog's mind. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and continually found solace and comfort in its' teachings. She is survived by her mother; brother; grandmother and grandfather; extended family; and many cherished friends.
