Effie Holt Fulghum, 88, of Newton died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Mitchell Convalescent Center in Camilla. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 13 at Travelers Rest Free Will Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. David Wolfe will officiate. Born January 8, 1929 in Elmodel, Mrs. Fulghum was the daughter of the late John James “Jim” Holt and Rossie Daniels Holt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Fulghum and a daughter, Angela Elizabeth Fulghum. Mrs. Fulghum was a farmer and a member of Travelers Rest Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include three grandchildren, Alexis Humphries of Camilla, Brittney Washington of Hartsfield, and Brandon Crosby of Sale City; three sisters, Ruby Ainsworth of Albany, Mary Ann Yeomans of Whigham, and Eunice Cole of Texas; a brother, Emmette Holt of Byron; three great grandchildren, Parker Wright, Karleigh Humphries, and Jaxxon Eli Humphries. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, May 12 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla. Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
