Eric K. Dills, 70, of Nantahala passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020 in an Asheville care facility. He was a native and lifetime resident of Nantahala. Eric was a Baptist preacher throughout his life. He had been a caregiver to many throughout his life and kept his sense of humor until the end. Eric enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was the son of the late Arch and Julia Haney Dills. Eric is also preceded in death by a son, Brian Scott Dills; granddaughter, Rosebud Dills; two sisters, Lulabelle Owenby and Syretta Dills; and two brothers, Rudolph and Wilbur Dills. Eric is survived by one daughter, Sharman Dills Pratt of Andrews, NC; one son, Stacy Dills of Jamestown, NC; one step-daughter, Pam Toberlin of Georgia; one step-son, Mitchell Adams of California; one sister, Karen Owenby and husband, Helton of Thomasville, NC; three brothers, Wilford Dills, Terry Dills, and Norris Dills and wife, Sherry, all of High Point, NC; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews in charge of arrangements.
