<p>Claudette Rose Lupton, 86, of Shrewsbury, NJ died peacefully at home August 1st.</p> <p>Claudette was born in France on October 2nd, 1935 to Lucien and Cecile Rose. They moved to the United States in 1945 soon after VE Day where she attended Millburn High School and Western College.&nbsp;The granddaughter of noted clothing designer Madame Fernande, Claudette worked in fashion and coordinated the legendary Milliken Breakfast Show.&nbsp;In 1961, she married David Lupton. The two lived on Central Park West before relocating to Locust, New Jersey in 1970, where they owned a marketing firm.&nbsp;In 1979 Claudette was adopted by close family friend Elmer Bloch.</p> <p>Claudette was an accomplished chef and gave many elegant parties at their home on the Navesink River. She shared her husband&rsquo;s affinity for animals and they cared for many beloved dogs over the years. She was an avid gardener and supporter of the arts, taking frequent trips to famous gardens, museums, and Broadway shows.&nbsp;</p> <p>Claudette is survived by stepdaughters Dawn Lupton Stewart, Courtney Lupton Turner and Heather Lupton Rasche, nephew Lucien &ldquo;Luke&rdquo; Rose, niece Caroline Rose Kaehler,&nbsp;seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
