John T. Liggett, age 75, of Lewisburg, died Saturday, August 1st, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital. He was a native of Marshall County, the son of the late James S. and Fannie Boring Liggett. He retired from Agricultural sales and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Tom Liggett and a sister, Lois McDowell. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Jane Cole Liggett, son, Scotty (Debbie) Liggett and Randy Liggett, one daughter, Genia (Brian) Borton, all of Lewisburg, and six grandchildren, Cody Liggett, Cole (Jenna) Liggett, Drew Liggett, Mary Katherine Liggett, Jacey Liggett, Laird Johnsey, and one great grandchild, Faith Liggett. Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 at 11:00 am from Lone Oak Cemetery Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091 with burial to follow . Due to concerns of the pandemic, there will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Pallbearers: grandsons, Eddie Liggett, Brian Borton Honorary Pallbearers are the members of the Elks Lodge. London Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
