Sharon A. Colp Marcy Sharon A. Colp, 76, of Marcy passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Faxton St. Luke’s Health Care. She was born on July 16, 1944 in Utica a daughter of the late Harold and Rowena (Skelton) Waters. On July 21, 1962 at St. Georges Episcopal Church in Utica she was united in marriage to James Colp, a blessed union of over 58 years filled with much love and mutual devotion. She was employed with the City of Utica School Bus Garage as a School Bus aide, a job she truly loved and enjoyed. She retired from the bus garage after many years of dedicated service. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family immensely. She cherished the time that she spent with them, especially her adored grandchildren. She loved going to the casino where she enjoyed playing KENO, and dinner at the many restaurants. She is survived by her husband James Colp of Marcy, her children, a daughter, Tammy Nahumck, and sons, James (Wendy) Colp, Gene Colp, and Brian Colp. She also leaves her grandchildren, Amanda (Brad) Harter, Stephen (Rachel) Nahumck, Seth Colp, Ally Colp, Dylan Colp, and Kayleigh Colp, also her great grandchildren, Avery Colp, Callan Harter, Winter Colp, Daxton Harter, and Alice Nahumck. She also leaves her grandsons mother Valentine Russell. She was predeceased by her siblings, Margaret DeStefano, Barbara Stefanski, and Fred Waters. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 4, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Dimbleby Funeral Homes Inc. 40 Main St. in Whitesboro. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. As per New York State and CDC regulations we are operating at 33% capacity. We ask for your patience when calling to support the Colp family, we can allow up to 15 people in as 15 exit.
