James C. Karns, age 87, of Twin Lakes, WI, died Saturday morning, August 1, 2020 at his home.

James Carl Karns was born on June 20, 1933 in Dayton, OH, the son of the late Stanley F. and LaVerne Gillett Karns. On August 15, 1958, in Garden Grove, CA, James was united in marriage to Dolores M. Segert. She preceded him in death on October 4, 2012. They lived in Oakwood Shores in 1961 and moved to Twin Lakes in 1985.

James served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. He owned and operated the Wisconsin Tire Shop in Wheatland, and Riteway Cleaning Service in Oakwood Shores, as well as most recently, Jim’s Cleaning Service.

He was a member of the Wilmot Masonic Lodge #241 In Wilmot, WI. He was an avid Packers fan, and loved fishing.

James is survived by a daughter, Dawn Marie (Ed) Barker of Sterling, VA, and a son, James T. Karns of Osceola, WI; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for James will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M. at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory, 620 Legion Dr, Twin Lakes, WI. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Mound Prairie Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone is asked please wear a face covering, and be patient in abiding by the number of visitors allowed inside the funeral home. Everyone is welcome, but we ask that you keep your visit short so that all who wish to pay their respects will be able to do so. The Haase-Lockwood & Assoc.
