A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Betty Hebert Hayes, 84, who died at 3:45 a.m. Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Lady of the Oaks in Lafayette, LA. Fr. Jason Vidrine, Pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary will celebrate the mass and the Committal service at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation may be observed on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. The rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Betty was born July 26, 1936 in Egan, LA to the late Eluse and Rena Q. Hebert. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Hubert Hayes; 2 daughters Connie H. Woodward and her husband Keith of Crowley, LA and Michelle Hayes of Crowley, LA; 5 grandchildren Brannon Woodward and his wife Amy of Rayne, LA, David Trahan and his wife Erica of Crowley, LA, Shari Herpin and her husband Brady of Crowley, LA, Natalie Hayes of Crowley, LA and Dillon Hayes of Crowley, LA; 5 great grandchildren Brileigh Newman, Zayden Herpin, Livian Herpin, Alexis Woodward and Karsyn Trahan and one great-great grandson Easton Hebert. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Huey Hayes; a sister Leora “Chook” Schexnayder and a great grandson Braden Trahan.
