<p>Jody Shawn Weese, 52, of Morehead City, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020, at his home.</p> <p>Jody was born on May 30, 1968, in Springfield, Ohio to the late Paul and Helen Weese, he was the youngest of 6 children. He married the love of his life, Stephanie Music Weese and they spent 34&nbsp; wonderful years together. Jody faithfully worked for General Mills for 24 years before retiring due to health issues which made him disabled. In 2012, they moved to Morehead City to enjoy the beauty of the Crystal Coast of North Carolina. They found their home church, Glad Tidings in Morehead City and soon became members. In 2018, he was a kidney transplant recipient and in 2019 he was diagnosed with cancer. Jody went through an overwhelming health battle but always kept the faith.</p> <p>He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Weese of the home; sons, Shawn Weese and wife Ashley and their children Abrielle and Madden, all of Wellston, OH, and Joshua Weese of Morehead City; sisters, Debra Weese of Kingsport, TN and Cindy Bourelle and husband David of Kettering, OH; and brothers, Paul Weese and Jeff Weese both of Springfield, OH.</p> <p>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Wendy Weese.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Donate Life America at 701 East Byrd St., 16th Floor, Richmond, VA 23219.</p> <p>Family and friends are welcome to submit online condolences at www.mundenfuneralhome.net</p> <p>Arrangements by Munden Funeral Home and Crematory in Morehead City, NC.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
