Larry Eugene Rideout Milford, Michigan Obituary

Larry Eugene Rideout

Larry Eugene Rideout, of Fenton, and more formally of Howell and Holly, MI, also Rancho, Cucamunga, CA, passed away unexpectedly on July 31st, 2020. He was 71 years old. To think of Larry is to think of Jenny. It was always Jenny and Larry. They met on a blind date and recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. A love story. Oh, the stories he could tell! ...Of growing up on Cedar Island Lake, living in Howell Michigan, moving to Rancho Cucamunga California, and back again to Michigan. Of traveling, camping, hunting, cooking and where to find the best ice cream. Stories with family and lifelong friendships over a fine bottle wine, a deck of cards or a good steak; often with a sarcastic sense of humor, a sideways grin and a piece of advice. He was a provider, a fixer and a teacher. A hardworking electrician for the local 58 Union. Larry was most proud of his kids. All three of them and their spouses successful and happy. His soft spot proved to be his grandchildren. Each having a unique relationship with their Papa. Larry led an exceptional life and he counted himself a lucky man. Larry's joy was the one he was with... Son of the late Robert and Dorothy Rideout, Larry is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Jennifer B. Rideout; children, Stephanie (Jesse) Braatz, Rob (Jennifer) Rideout, and Lindsay (Chad) Sayles; grandchildren, Payton (James) Boudreau, Hayden Rideout, Samantha, and Emma Sayles, Andrew Braatz, Rubie Rideout, Abigail Sayles, Morgan, and Luke Spohn; siblings, Linda (Don) Braun, Shirley (Ed) Wald, Ken Rideout, and Paula (Steve) Kadella; also many nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. Larry is also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Don Braun; and his nephew, Paul Kadella.
