MARQUETTE, MI – Lois Jean “Jean” Hermanson, 85, of Marquette, entered eternal life Friday evening, July 31, 2020, at UP Health System - Marquette. Born December 13, 1934 in Marquette, a daughter of Manuel and Mildred (Cline) Brisson, Jean was a lifelong Marquette resident. In 1950 she married Edwin H. “Sonny” Hermanson and together the couple made their home and raised their family in Marquette. A homemaker, Jean’s family was her life. Survivors include her daughters, Janice (the late Bruce Fletcher) Hermanson and Vicki (William) Lawrence both of Marquette; two grandsons, Andrew and Daniel (Kendra) Lawrence; great-grandchildren, Nova Elizabeth and Fox Robert Lawrence; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Haapala of Escanaba; a nephew, Bruce Reynolds and his wife, Kathy Pohl, of Sussex, WI; special family friends, Robert Lawrence of Marquette and Bea Marana of Marquette; and several nieces and nephews in the Hermanson Family. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin “Sonny” Hermanson; a sister, Arlene (the late William) Reynolds; in-laws, Donald (Lil) Hermanson, Norman (Janice) Edwards, Marilyn (Gene) Culbertson, Betty Hermanson, Donald Haapala; and a nephew, Robert Reynolds. Graveside services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery on Thursday, August 6, at 1:30 pm with Rev. Greg Heikkala officiating. Masks and social distancing are required.
