Tavares, Florida - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mrs. Percina Thomas 62, who passed away to be with the Lord on Friday, July 31, 2020 in the Cornerstone Hospice Home in Tavares, Florida.

Percina Thomas, was born on May12, 1958 to the late Verna and Admiral Townes, natives of Yanceyville, North Carolina.

Percina Thomas, was raised in a God loving home and became a prayerful  woman. She was a member of the Church of God in Christ. Percina Thomas went to Saints Academy in Lexington, Mississippi in 1975 where she met and married Lucien E. Blackwell Jr., from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Out of their union was born their son Lucien Edward Townes. Years later Percina moved to Reidsville, North Carolina where she met and married Anthony Thomas.

Percina Thomas moved from North Carolina to Florida in 2004. She fell in Love with the Sunshine State and decided to make this her new home. Following her dreams and Career in Real Estate and Property Management she was offered a position in Orlando, Florida where she resided where she decided to go back to her gift as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This lead her move from Orlando to Mt. Dora, Florida where she helped others to cope with their sickness and disabilities

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Gabriel and Jenni V. Graves.

Percina Thomas leaves behind her son, Lucien Edward Townes III, her daughter-in-law Marretta Townes along with her Grandson Lucien Edward Townes IV also. Her Siblings are Admiral Cecil Townes, and Leroy Brunson. Nieces and Nephews, Temekia Townes Wolfe, Reginald Privette, Apollonia S R Graves, Jason Brunson, Lavar Townes, Lashaunda Thomas, Shauna Reed, Ariele Townes, Sirron Townes. Sister-in-law, Michelle Townes & Mary Gwynn. As well as Great close to heart friends, Ronnell Dickerson and family along with a host of other family members and friends far and near.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Percina Thomas will be Saturday, August 08, 2020 at 1:00 pm. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. (PER CDC GUIDELINES:  FACIAL MASKS ARE REQUIRED).
