Charlotte Leota Osborne Carthage, Missouri Obituary

Charlotte Leota Osborne

Charlotte Leota Osborne, 89, Carthage, Missouri, went to be with the Lord and her eternal family in heaven early Saturday morning, August 1, 2020. Charlotte was born January 29, 1931 in Moreno Valley, California, the daughter of Richard Lee Breeze and Goldie Lorena (Moss) Breeze. She was a 1948 graduate of Carthage High School. Charlotte married Hugh Junior Osborne on June 25, 1950 in Carthage. She devoted her life taking care of her husband and children and was especially happy spending time with her grandson. As a deacon’s wife, Charlotte spent many years helping in children’s church, hosting weekly care groups, and giving to others. In the early days, it was not uncommon for her to take in a hitchhiker, fix them a sandwich or give them a ride. She enjoyed playing the piano, square dancing and traveling to Texas in the winter, but most of all, loved her family. She was a member of the Carthage Nazarene Church. Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Hugh Junior Osborne; a daughter, Teresa Ford and husband Lance, Carthage; a grandson, Luke Ford, Carthage; numerous nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Alan Brent Osborne; a brother, Harold Breeze; and a sister, Fern Rowlette. Services celebrating the life of Charlotte will be held 2 pm, Monday, August 3, 2020 at Park Cemetery, Carthage. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary.

I can not remember not knowing Charlotte. She was a friend of the family for years and then later she and I took Aquacise classes together. She was a gentle and loving woman. To know her was a privilege.
I will miss her until it is time for us to meet again.
