Passed away, peacefully after a courageous struggle with illness, at the V.O.N. Sakura House Hospice, Woodstock, on August 1st, 2020, Ruth Evelyn Livingston, a long-time resident of the Tillsonburg area, at the age of 70. Raised in a farming community, she did not hesitate to try new things, which led her to branch off into retail and real estate. Ruth was always full of positivity; she had a real zest for life and loved to travel, she made friends wherever she went. Anyone that knew Ruth could describe her as a gifted storyteller who gave freely of herself and her knowledge to anyone who asked for or was willing to listen. This knowledge also came in handy when frequenting yard sales; she always loved a good bargain. She will be greatly missed. Ruth leaves behind two sons: Geoffrey and Gerry-John Livingston. Lovingly remembered by her sister Bridget Sullivan and by her nieces Jill Farmer and Joanne Beckett, all of Nova Scotia. Chapel, 262 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg by Deacon Andre DeDecker, of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Tillsonburg. Public visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 5th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (service time). Burial follows in the Tillsonburg Cemetery next to her late mother Elza and stepfather ‘Stanley’ Skuda. Due to COVID-19 safety restrictions, attendance will be LIMITED to ONLY guests that RSVP prior to Wednesday.
