WILMINGTON—PFC Jayden Shyheim Warren Carroll, 18-year-old son of Tawana Gaffney of Wilmington, NC and Norman Carroll of Orlando, FL, died Saturday, August 1, 2020, in Tacoma, WA.

He was a soldier serving in the U.S. Army.

A graveside service, with full military honors, will be 1:00 PM Saturday, August 15, at Cherry Grove Cemetery, 660 Vinson Boulevard, Whiteville, NC, by Pastor Michael Moore.

Walk-thru viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel in Whiteville Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.

In addition to his parents, Jayden is survived by his sisters, Janice Benson of Charleston, SC and Moika Carroll of Cambridge, MA; brother, Tyree Lewis of Snellville, GA; maternal grandmother, Janice Johnson (Jonathan) of Wilmington, NC; paternal grandfather, Alfred Carroll of Cambridge, MA.
