Bill G. Powell Sr. 75 of Stamford, Texas passed away Saturday, August 1st, 2020 at his home. Family will hold a private Grave side service at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene with Military Honors.

Bill was born August 28, 1944 in Spur Texas to James Curtis Powell and Vivian Inez Powell. Bill received his primary educaiton from Spur public Schools graduating from Spur High School. Bill was soon drafted into the United States Army and served for 7 years. He served in the Vietnam War and was in the LLrP unit and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He also served in the special forces as a Green Beret. He spent the last 28 years with his loving wife Vickie Powell,

Bill was preceded in death by father. James Powell, sister Sandra Cummings, and daughter Angel Powell.

Left to cherish his memories are wife of 28 years Vickie Powell of Stamford, TX mother Vivian McClain of Rotan, sons; Billy Powell Jr. and wife Harley of Stamford, Carl Pruitt of Stamford, duaghters Becky Fox and husband Dusty of Abilene, Cathy pender and husband Quint Pender of Stamford, TX Brothers; James Powell and wife Donna of Spur, TX. Kenny Powell and wife Janene of Stamford, TX, Steve Powell and wife Malinda of Eastland, TX. sisters Dujauan Wallace and Shelia Randall of Plano, TX. 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and many friends.
