Robert Edgar Gibson, Jr.

Robert “Robbie” Edgar Gibson, Jr., age 44 of Gibson, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020.

Robbie was the loving son of Robert Edgar Gibson, Sr., and Claudie Britt Gibson, born August 6, 1975 in Scotland County.  He worked in trucking with B.A.H. Express.  He enjoyed fishing and teaching others how to fish.  Robbie had an inviting personality and was always the life at all gatherings.  His greatest joy was sharing time with family, especially with his children.

Surviving are his children, son, Robert E. “Trey” Gibson, III of Laurinburg, and daughters, Ashlee Gibson (Andrew) and Jordan Gibson both of Gibson; his father, Robert Gibson, Sr., and mother, Claudia B. Gibson both of Laurinburg; sisters, Elizabeth “Beth” Brooks (Perry) of Laurinburg, Cindy Clark (Chris) of Laurel Hill, and brother, Jamie Gibson; mothers of his children, fiancé Jenifer Jordan and Maranda Boger. He loved his nephew, nieces and family.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 in the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Terry Jordan.   Family will receive friends prior to services from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.   A private interment will be at a later date.
