Passed peacefully away at the Marystown Retirement Home in Marystown, NL, on Friday, July 31, 2020, BERTHA “HAZEL” BAKER, of Epworth, NL, in her 104th year. Leaving to mourn a number of special nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

She also leaves to mourn her friends and the staff of the Marystown Retirement Home in Marystown who were like her family for the past 13 years.

Hazel is predeceased by her parents Samuel and Margaret Reid, husband George Baker, husband Willis Clarke, and special niece Doreen Hooper.

Cremation will take place.

Due to the current public health advisory of COVID – 19, a private funeral service by invitation only will be held at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South at 1 PM on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Inurnment will follow at the United Church Cemetery in Epworth, NL.

No flowers by request of the family. Donations in Hazel's memory may be made to the Epworth United Church Cemetery Fund.
