Fay Bright
<p>Mrs. Fay Robertson Bright, 88, of Graham, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020.</p> <p>Born October 18, 1931, in Graham, North Carolina, to the late Charles Freeman “Shinky” Robertson and the late Mamie Guthrie Robertson, Fay graduated from Graham High School. On August 30, 1950 she married Howard William “Flip” Bright, and they enjoyed 58 loving years together.</p> <p>Fay enjoyed a long career at Times News as a secretary in the Classified Ads Department. She was a long-time member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church of Graham, where she was a Sunday school teacher and enjoyed playing in the hand bell choir. She and Flip enjoyed many good friends and memories at Mt. Hermon while serving there.</p> <p>Fay is survived by one son, Mike Bright and his wife, Cindy, of Graham; one grandson, Jacob Bright and wife Ashley of Clarksville, TN; two great-grandsons, Braeden and Vance of Clarksville; one great-granddaughter Evelynn of Clarksville; a sister, Carol Robertson Brummitt of Norwood, NC; and many beloved nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Fay was preceded in death by her husband and parents.</p> <p>A graveside service will be held Friday, July 31, at 10:00 am at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church of Graham. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Loy. </p> <p>Memorials may be made to Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church, P.O. I worked with Ms Fay at TN right out of high school. I remember her “giggle” and loving motherly soul. She was a wonderful lady. I am blessed to have known her.
