William J. Casey

William J. Casey, 85, of Hamden passed away peacefully on December 10, 2015 at Atria Larson Place. He was born on May 31, 1930 the son of the late John and Olive (Owens) Casey. William proudly retired from the Echlin Manufacturing Co. after 38 years of dedicated employment. He was truly a people person, even an "Ambassador" at Atria Larson Place. William will be deeply missed by his family. He leaves behind his wife Jeanne Casey; son William Casey, daughters Beth Casey, Lori Greene, and Linda Jerolmon. He also leaves behind grandchildren Scott Casey and his wife Kelly, and Caitlyn Casey and her fiancé John Majneber; Aiden and Olivia Greene; Justin, Jade and Shannon Jerolmon and great-grandchildren. William is also survived by his step children, Evelyn Rainwaters, Kim Marion and Raymond Davidson; many step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and sister Marjorie Parks. He is predeceased by his brother John "Jack" Casey. William's family would especially like to thank all the nurses at Atria Larson Place and especially his caregiver, Nana Bradley for the exceptional care he was provided in his final months. Friends and family are invited to visit with William's family on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Memorial donations in William's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
