A funeral service for Delores Ann Hood, age 72, of Jacksonville Texas, is scheduled at 11:00 o’clock in the morning Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville with Rev. Don Harvey will officiate.. Mrs. Hood will be laid to rest at Still Waters Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Hood passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 in Jacksonville. She was born May 17, 1948 in Jacksonville, Texas to Roy and Ruth Williams. Mrs. Hood was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Freddie Hood. She was employed for over 36 years as a computer programmer with Bealls and was a member of Cove Spring Community Church. Ann was a loving wife, mother, Memaw and friend. She was the Matriarch of not only her immediate family, but also to many of the extended family as well. Memaw spent a lot of time with her friends playing knock at the VFW and volunteering with the women’s auxiliary and was loved by all. Ann was the consummate southern lady and will truly be missed. We love you Memaw. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Melissa Hood and Lori McRight, both of Jacksonville; brothers, Johnny Joe Williams and wife Elena of Houston, and Jimmy Williams and wife Carol of Flint. She is also survived by grandchildren, Austin McRight and wife Taylor, Grant McRight and wife Taylor, Savannah McRight, Braxton Ballew, and Annsleigh Ballew; two great-granddaughters, Cambree and Saylor. Pallbearers will be Randy Thompson, Rodney Thompson, Kannon Hood, Ricky Murphy, Tracy Hendrix, and Brian Hood. Honorary pallbearer will be Kent Hood. Visitation will begin on Wednesday July 29, 2020 from 1 to 6 o’clock in the afternoon at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville Texas.
