Catherine Jean (Buffy) Crowell-Chisholm
Catherine Jean (Buffy) Crowell-Chisholm, 48, of Heatherton passed away peacefully on July 25, 2020 following a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of Jean (Boucher) and the late Leslie Crowell. She is survived by her husband Paul, her two dogs, Beau and Starr who she dearly adored, her mother Jean; brothers David (Lori) and Jody and her extended Chisholm family. Besides her father she was predeceased by parents-in-law Ernie and Helen Chisholm; sister-in-law Helene and aunts and uncles. Buffy attended four years at Acadia University taking mathematics before becoming an LPN. She worked in the dialysis unit up until the time of her illness. She was an avid Boston Bruins fan. A special thank you to nurses and doctors of PCU, palliative care and dialysis units who have shown so much compassion and kindness towards Buffy and her family. Also to all doctors and nurses in Sydney and Halifax. Sincere thanks to her friend, Gemma, who was always there for Buffy. There will be no visitation. A private family funeral will be held in Immaculate Conception Church, Heatherton, Rev. Andrew Gillies presiding.
