Floyd General Kirk Obituary

KIRK, Floyd General, 89, of Lutz, FL, passed away May 6, 2017. Floyd was an active member of Idlewild Baptist Church. Floyd served 25 years in the military and retired from the USAF in 1970. He worked in Federal Civil Service for 20 years. He was very proud of his four children who all served in the military. He has a grandson, Holmes Rizzo (Evonne) that is now serving his country. Floyd was preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years and only daughter, Vickie Jo Rizzo. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Kathleen; three sons, Floyd R. (Gail), Flayo O (Donna) and Darrell (Sandy); two stepsons, Mark Heater (Marianne) and Matthew Heater; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; nieces, Sharon and Sue; extended family. Many thanks to his stepson, Matt Heater for his total support in caring for him; to the wonderful support by LifePath Hospice and many friends at Idlewild Baptist Church. There will be a private memorial service on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Cycadia Cemetery, 1021 E Tarpon Ave., Tarpon Springs , FL, 34689 at 2 p.m . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Idlewild Baptist Mission Fund or LifePath Hospice. Words of comfort may be expressed for Floyd's family by clicking "Share a Memory".
