<p>Henry Herschel Moxley, Jr. of Griffin, Georgia, passed away on July 23, 2020, at the age of 81. Henry was born in Cobbtown, Georgia, on August 1, 1938.<br /> <br /> He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Herschel Moxley, Sr. and Lucy Lee Anderson Moxley and his beloved wife Anne Cavin Moxley.<br /> <br /> He is survived by his siblings, sisters Marilyn Moxley Lanier (Don), and Patricia Moxley Cleveland, daughters Bryan Moxley Aldridge (John) and Brooke Moxley Homan (Jeff), stepdaughters Allison Adair Walters and Betsey Walters Wheeler (Tracy), grandchildren Moxley Patterson Homan, Sara Malone Aldridge, Henry Whitman Aldridge, and Wyatt Henderson Wheeler.<br /> <br /> Henry graduated from Collins High School in 1956 where he was an outstanding baseball player. He then graduated from The University of Georgia in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. In his early career, he worked at several different pharmacies in both McDonough and Griffin. One of his greatest professional accomplishments was owning and operating his namesake pharmacy, Henry&rsquo;s Professional Pharmacy, located on South 8th Street. He always enjoyed and cherished serving his customers and making personal connections with everyone he met. Henry was known for his ability to tell a very detailed, often humorous story that would captivate anyone listening. Henry was a member of First Baptist Church of Griffin. He very much enjoyed spending time with the members of his Sunday School class, Russell&rsquo;s Raiders. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Spalding County where he served as past president. In Henry&rsquo;s earlier years, he enjoyed traveling to many destinations near and far to fulfill his passion for golfing, hunting, and fishing with dear friends. In later years, Henry&rsquo;s time was well spent with many close friends at his barn and cabin. Together with Bobby Goolsby and other friends, he built and donated the three large Easter crosses placed on the corner of Hill Street and Taylor Street. Undoubtedly, his greatest joy was spending time with his beloved family.<br /> <br /> Visitation with the family is planned for Thursday, July 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home in Griffin, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Memorial Fund at the First Baptist Church of Griffin, P. O. Box 908, Griffin, Georgia 30224</p>
