<p>Mercedes Michelle Holford "Sissy," 13, was the daughter of the late Crystal D. Andrews and Robert Lee Green Jr. She was born on April 23, 2007 in Topeka, Kansas. She passed away on July 14, 2020.</p><p><br></p><p>Mercedes had a big heart, but had her own way of showing her love. She loved to joke with everyone that she crossed paths with. Once she found comfort in someone she would show off her beautiful smile. Mercedes loved playing with her little cousins. Every time they came over she would hug them and just enjoy their company. </p><p><br></p><p>Mercedes played softball and basketball growing up, but stuck with basketball going into middle school (Robinson Middle School). She enjoyed playing basketball with her friends at Central Park and Hillcrest just for fun. She also enjoyed listening to music, making TikToks and watching youtube videos in her alone time.</p><p><br></p><p>Mercedes M. Holford was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. She will truly be missed.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her siblings, Nevaeh Mays, Germane Mays, Deon Ikner, Cazh'Mere Green, and Chy'Na Green; her grandmother, Bettie Holford; her aunts and uncles, Tommy Andrews, Michelle Holford, Michael Holford Jr., Timothy Arterberry Sr., Mercedeys Holford, Shonetina Benson, and Natasha Hall; her cousins, Nazir Rayton, Makylah Rayton, J'ohn January, Milan Arterberry, Timothy Arterberry Jr., Michael Holford III, Del'Juan Arterberry and Crystal Holford and a host of other relatives and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>"Wait on the Lord: Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." -Psalms 27:14</p>
