Myrna S. Evans, age 81 of Griffin, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Myrna was born October 10, 1938 in Baxley Georgia. She is preceded in death by parents, Henry Tippins and Rehetta Lou Collins Tippins; husband, Gus Evans. Myrna was a loving mother and grandmother. Her pride and joy was loving on the grandkids and spending time with family. Myrna also started and managed a support group for Lupus. There she would share and encourage others on how to stay strong. Myrna was very active member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Myrna is survived by children, Wendi Sandefur and husband, David, Rhonda Watson and husband, Mike, Kimberly Wooster and husband, Bob, Marla Finnegan and husband, Mike, Randy Evans and wife, Cheryl, Jacque Evans; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Whitley; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

A visitation for Mrs. Myrna Evans will be Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend John Nance will officiate. Interment will follow at Westwood Gardens.
